Fiber Art

     I am drawn to various textures and delight in creating fiber art using grapevines, twine, straw, cotton, linen, silk, wool or man-made fabrics. My creations include wall hangings as well as bowl-shaped forms. The bowls’ smooth interiors and rough exteriors are reminiscent of a bird’s nest.
     I have created a number of custom works using fabrics that have personal significance to clients. There are numerous occasions that can be commemorated by a custom weaving – graduation, bar or bat mitzvah, a wedding or special birthday. Articles of clothing that were once favorites but are worn out or outgrown can be brought back to life in a work of art. What a unique way to honor a special time – and the one-of-a-kind piece will be treasured for years to come. I welcome your special projects.
